Invisalign
4 steps to your new smile.
Invisalign
Step 1
We will take you through the Case Assessment, which is a simple set of photos to determine whether you are suitable for Invisalign treatment.
Step 2
If treatment is right for you, we’ll take photos, X-rays and digital scans, or a dental impression, of your teeth. Then we’ll create you a digital treatment plan, using our state of the art technology, showing you what your results could look like via a 3D video.
Step 3
We'll give you a series of aligners to wear every day and change at home – on average every 1-2 weeks (as directed by your Dentist). You can comfortably wear your aligners for 22 hours a day (the recommended daily wear). And because they're removable, it’s easy to maintain your normal oral hygiene routine and enjoy your usual diet.
Step 4
We'll invite you back to the practice around every 4-6 weeks to monitor progress and hand over your new aligners. At the end of your treatment, you will need to wear your retainers to maintain your new smile.

Invisalign Aligners...
Treatable issues...

By using advanced technology, Invisalign can treat a broad range of dental and orthodontic issues that were previously treated with traditional braces – from minor tooth movements to more complex cases. These issues include:

How does the treatment work?

It takes approximately between 9 and 18 months to create a new smile using Invisalign. Getting there takes just four simple steps:

  1. You meet with an Invisalign Provider for a consultation about your treatment., based on your treatment plan and your dental records, a virtual 3D treatment plan is generated that shows you the expected movement of your teeth from their current position to the desired final position.
  2. Once you and your Invisalign Provider have approved the treatment plan, the aligners are custom-made to fit your teeth. The number of aligners varies for each person.
  3. You wear your aligners about 20 to 22 hours every day, except to eat, brush, and floss, or for a specific occasion.
  4. Every two weeks, you switch to a new set of aligners. The aligners will gradually move your teeth towards their final prescribed position.

Invisalign is 1 of the most popular orthodontic treatments currently available. The treatment comes in the form of transparent aligners that allow for orthodontic correction to progress practically unnoticed. This type of orthodontic treatment is particularly suited to adults as the aligners work quickly and discreetly to straighten the teeth.
Q. How Is It Different from Traditional Braces?

A. Invisalign is in a completely different league to traditional fixed braces. This is because the aligners used for treatment can be removed, allowing for easy maintenance of oral hygiene and a lowered risk of gum irritation.

There are no wires or brackets present and the treatment works by the replacement of aligners every 2 weeks. The aligners work in a way that gently repositions the teeth, meaning that Invisalign is relatively pain-free.

Q. Is It Discreet?

A. Invisalign is currently the most discreet orthodontic treatment available. The aligners are practically invisible and free of wires and brackets.

Q. Am I Suitable for Invisalign?

A. Invisalign is designed to treat both mild cases such as overcrowding and more severe cases involving bite problems. Other orthodontic issues that Invisalign is designed to fix include:

  • Overbites
  • Underbites
  • Crossbites
  • Open Bites
  • Spacing Problems

Q. How Long Does the Treatment Usually Take?

A. The treatment process depends entirely upon the individual’s requirements. Typically, the expected length of treatment ranges from 6 months to a year, with the aligners being replaced every 2 weeks. The aligners should be worn for around 20 to 22 hours per day for a maximum rate of success.

Q. Will It Cause Pain or Discomfort?

A. Invisalign is designed for comfort and easy removal. However, as with all orthodontic treatments, you are likely to experience some form of discomfort. This discomfort is at its worst during the first fitting of the aligners, but soon subsides.

It takes time for the mouth to grow accustomed to the new aligners, so speech may be slightly impaired for a short while. The teeth soon become used to the aligners and any discomfort will eventually cease.

Q. What Does the Treatment Involve?

A.When your dentist can confirm that you are eligible to receive Invisalign after the initial consultation, the following steps will be taken:

  1. Impressions of your teeth are sent off so custom-made aligners can be produced
  2. The aligners are fitted and a treatment plan is discussed between you and the dentist. This is to ensure that the aligners are properly taken care of and you are aware of when you can remove them for cleaning.
  3. During 2 week intervals, a check-up is issued so that you can receive your replacement aligners and continue to progress to the next stage of orthodontic correction.
  4. When the treatment has been completed, your dentist will issue you with a retainer to ensure your teeth do not relapse.

Q. How Much Does Invisalign Cost?

A. Treatment usually starts from £2,500 but for milder cases, it can start from only £1800. The treatment cost is completely dependent on the patient’s specific requirements, so expect to pay more for complex cases.

A. Invisalign has become increasingly popular in recent years, and we are proud to be able to offer it to our patients. If you would like to learn more about Invisalign treatment, then please get in contact with our team today.
